Texas firefighter/paramedic suffers fatal heart attack on-duty

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A San Antonio firefighter/paramedic died Friday, Feb. 29, after suffering from a heart attack while on duty.

Fire Engineer Roger Dennis Jr., 55, was on duty at Fire Station 40 in San Antionio when he became ill. He was taken to the hospital and died later that day, according to the United States Fire Administration. He was a 34-year veteran.

Funeral services will be held Friday in Live Oak, Texas.
