IAEMSC announces 2010 summit agenda

Event will be held October 22-25, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

The International Association of Emergency Medical Services Chiefs (IAEMSC) has announced the agenda for its annual EMS Leadership Summit. The IAEMSC EMS Leadership Summit will be held October 22-25, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

The Summit targets middle and senior leaders in emergency medical services (EMS), and has included attendees from across the United States in addition to representatives from the international EMS community.

"The annual EMS Leadership Summit is an important part of the IAEMSC mission to support, promote and advance the leadership of EMS response entities and to advocate for the EMS profession," said Lawrence E. Tan, President of the IAEMSC. "The Summit provides a vital opportunity for senior EMS leaders to network and collaborate on the emerging issues of the profession."

The IAEMSC Summit will include briefings from key federal officials and subject matter experts on community preparedness and response, legal and legislative issues, and national preparedness policy. After-action reports will also be provided by Canadian authorities following their experience providing EMS to the Winter Olympic Games.

Additional information, including online registration for the Summit and hotel accommodations are available at the IAEMSC web site located at www.iaemsc.org.
